After weeks of rumors, Maccabi Tel Aviv officially appointed Kenny Miller as its new head coach, replacing Ronny Deila at the end of last season following the previous coach’s affair. The club also announced the coaching staff for the 2026/27 season.
The main addition is Stuart Taylor, who will join Miller as assistant coach. Taylor, 51, is Scottish and spent his playing career as a midfielder with more than 200 appearances for St Mirren, Airdrieonians, Partick Thistle, St. Johnstone, Ross County, Hamilton Academical and Drogheda United.
After retiring, Taylor moved into coaching and worked at Hamilton Academical, Aston Villa as reserve team coach, Wolves, Stoke City, Ipswich, Dundee and Al Khor in Qatar. He also had spells as head coach at Limerick and Hamilton Academical.
Maccabi said Dean Kiely will remain the team’s goalkeeping coach, and Avi Rikan will also stay on the coaching staff for the coming season.
