Noh Dromi Departs i24NEWS Friday Evening Show Amid Family Conflict

Noh Dromi announced her departure from hosting "Cabinet Friday" on i24NEWS after approximately two years, citing the difficulty of balancing her work on Friday evenings with her family life. She revealed in a social media post that the decision was made several months ago.

Dromi stated that she accepted the offer to host the show two years prior as part of a "media revolution" to provide a Friday evening news program that resonated with traditional, Zionist, and patriotic Israelis, aiming to replace older formats. However, she explained that working on Shabbat evenings became a personal challenge, creating a conflict between her professional role and her family commitments, especially given her living situation between central Israel and the distant north.

She discussed her decision with the show's editor, Moshe Harosh, and the channel's director, Yisrael Toito. They jointly agreed that she would continue hosting through the election period before stepping down. Dromi also touched upon regulatory limitations affecting i24NEWS's reach in Israel, noting that despite these challenges and competition from established broadcasters, "Cabinet Friday" has become the second most-watched Friday evening program and expressed confidence it will become the first under Harosh and Toito's leadership.

Despite acknowledging the show's importance and her professional standing, Dromi emphasized that her priority is now her family and "the Shabbat table with my children and husband." She clarified that she is not leaving i24NEWS and is already working on a new program for the channel, expressing that her farewell is not immediate and she will continue to host during the upcoming dramatic political period. She assured viewers they would see her on i24NEWS in a different role and a new program soon.
