i24news Anchor Noa Daromi to Leave 'Cabinet Friday' Broadcast

Noa Daromi, an anchor for i24news, announced on Wednesday that she will soon cease hosting "Cabinet Friday," the channel's Friday evening news program. Daromi explained that she will continue presenting the show until after the upcoming elections, after which she will depart.

"I had many deliberations and the decision was not simple at all," Daromi wrote in a statement. "The role that speaks to me right now is that of the Shabbat table with my children and husband," she added, indicating she could not continue in her current capacity for much longer.

Daromi shared that for the past two years, she has juggled the challenge of anchoring a Friday broadcast while living far from her home and family. Several months ago, she felt ready to make a decision. "I informed them that I could not continue with 'Cabinet Friday' for much longer," she said, referring to a conversation with the channel's editor and manager. She and senior channel officials concluded that she would remain until the election period.

Daromi expressed pride in being the first anchor for "Cabinet Friday," which she described as a groundbreaking program that brings interesting and creative reports each week, showcasing the beauty, complexity, and diversity of the Israeli people. "The separation is not easy for me," she concluded.
