TV Host Noa Daromi Departs 'Cabinet of Friday' Show for Family

Television host and journalist Noa Daromi announced on Wednesday that she will be leaving her role on the program 'Cabinet of Friday' but will remain with the news channel I24NEWS. Daromi, who also writes columns for Ynet and "Yediot Ahronot," explained her decision stems from a desire to spend Shabbat dinners with her husband and children, noting she deliberated extensively before making the choice.

In a post on her X account (formerly Twitter), Daromi stated that two years ago she accepted an offer to be a central part of a "media revolution," aiming to replace the "old tribal campfire" with a Friday broadcast that speaks to the values of the "traditional, Zionist, Israel-loving public." She acknowledged that her personal connection to this demographic presented challenges, particularly balancing family and work, especially on Fridays and with her life spanning between central Israel and the distant north. She felt ready to make a decision after months of internal struggle.

Daromi clarified that discussions with the program's editor and channel management led to the decision for her to continue broadcasting until the upcoming elections, after which she will vacate her hosting position on the show. She emphasized that the decision was not easy, involving much consultation and consideration of the program's importance and the professional standing of her Friday slot.

"Everything is true, it's just that the status that speaks to me right now is that of the Shabbat table with my children and husband," she added. Daromi concluded by saying the separation is difficult but not immediate, and she will continue to appear on I24NEWS in a different capacity with a new program already in development.
