Poll Shows Right-Wing Bloc Securing Knesset Majority
A poll released Tuesday by Israel's Channel 14 indicates that right-wing parties would secure a majority in the Knesset if elections were held today. The survey projects the Likud party would win 30 seats, Yashar 21, Shas 10, Democrats 9, and Religious Zionism, Otzma Yehudit, Bayahad, and United Torah Judaism would each receive 8 seats. The Joint List of Arab parties is projected to win 7 seats, and Yisrael Beiteinu 6, with Ra'am taking 5. Several parties, including Amcha Yisrael, Blue and White, Noam, and Miluimnikim, would fail to cross the electoral threshold.
In a hypothetical race for prime minister, 54% of respondents favored Benjamin Netanyahu, while Benny Gantz received 38%. Naftali Bennett garnered only 9% support, and Avigdor Lieberman 5%. When directly comparing Netanyahu and Gantz, 53% chose Netanyahu and 47% chose Gantz.
Overall, the poll suggests the right-wing bloc would hold 64 seats in the Knesset, the left-wing bloc 44 seats, and Arab parties 12 seats.
