Leading Rabbis Undergo Successful Heart Procedures
Two prominent members of the Council of Torah Sages underwent successful heart procedures on Tuesday. In Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center, the Grand Rabbi of Vizhnitz had a pacemaker successfully implanted by Professor David Luria, head of the Electrophysiology and Pacing Unit. The Rabbi's household reported that the procedure concluded to the doctors' satisfaction, and he will remain for observation. Followers are urged to continue praying for his complete recovery, identified as Rabbi Yisrael ben Leah Esther.
Concurrently, the Grand Rabbi of Modzhitz, who was hospitalized on Rosh Hashanah for tests, underwent a successful cardiac catheterization at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak. He had briefly returned home to lead holiday prayers before the procedure. Doctors anticipate his release as early as Tuesday evening. The public is asked to pray for his recovery, Rabbi Chaim Shaul ben Bayla Rachel.
