Israeli Teen Arrested for Alleged Plot to Bomb Amdocs Data Center

Israel's Shin Bet security agency and police have arrested a 19-year-old resident of Kafr Qasim, Mustafa Issa, on suspicion of terrorist activity and planning to bomb a data center affiliated with the tech company Amdocs. According to investigators, Issa was in the final stages of planning the attack when he was apprehended. Authorities stated that the suspect was motivated by the Hamas attack on October 7th. During his arrest, a significant amount of training equipment and airsoft weapons were found. Phone data revealed Issa had been searching for combat training instructions and downloading materials on how to construct explosive devices. He had also reportedly attempted to build bombs using readily available materials and shared his activities on social media. Issa had unrestricted access to the target facility as he is employed by the national fire and rescue services. Following interrogations, prosecutors have notified the Central District Court of their intent to indict Issa, a procedural step before filing formal charges. Both the Shin Bet and police emphasized their zero-tolerance policy towards any Israeli citizens involved in activities threatening national security.
