Woman Accused in Murder Case to Remain in Custody
The Jerusalem District Court has ruled that there is prima facie evidence against Linor Sasson, who is accused of aiding and abetting after the fact and obstructing justice in the murder of Benyahu Razi. Sasson will remain in custody for the time being, with the next hearing scheduled for October 22.
According to the indictment, Sasson is accused of driving the defendants to the apartment where the murder occurred, though she allegedly asked them not to do anything during the ride. After the murder, she is accused of helping them escape, resulting in a significantly lesser charge compared to the other defendants.
Justice Stern clarified that the final decision regarding the evidence is still some time away. "Right now, we primarily want to focus on getting a result regarding the question of whether there is prima facie evidence. This will take another month or so, and then we will discuss the possibility of sending them for a pre-sentencing report. If the report is reasonable, I assume there is a chance they will be released, but the road is still long."
