Jerusalem Court Keeps Murder Suspect Linor Shoshon in Custody

A Jerusalem District Court ruled Tuesday that Linor Shoshon, accused of aiding in the murder of Benyahu Razi and obstructing justice, will remain in detention. The court found prima facie evidence for the offenses attributed to Shoshon. Prosecutors agreed to a pre-release evaluation, or 'taksir', to assess the possibility of releasing Shoshon under alternative conditions.

During a hearing, a prosecutor noted Shoshon's past convictions for extortion and threats. They argued that despite previous leniency due to her health and status as a mother of a minor, she re-offended, indicating a lack of full trustworthiness. Therefore, a 'taksir' is necessary before considering her release.

The court has ordered the probation service to submit the report within 30 days, with the next hearing scheduled for October 22. Hearings for four minors involved in the case have been postponed to November. For Agam Tzrafi and Shilat Huta, a schedule for submitting arguments and the investigation file has been set, with their hearing on October 19.

Last month, indictments were filed against seven individuals in the Benyahu Razi murder case in Jerusalem. The central suspect, Avi'or Shoshon, and an unidentified accomplice allegedly stabbed Benyahu Razi in the chest, leading to his death shortly after. Avi'or Shoshon, three minors, and Linor Shoshon, his mother, are charged with homicide. Agam Tzrafi and Shilat Huta are also expected to be charged with homicide.
