Court Denies Bail for Suspect in Jerusalem Murder Case

A Jerusalem District Court has ruled that Linor Sasson, accused of aiding and abetting a murder and obstructing justice in the killing of Binyahu Razi, will remain in custody. The court accepted the prosecution's argument that sufficient evidence exists to charge Sasson with assisting perpetrators after the fact and tampering with evidence, and that her detention conditions should not be altered at this time. A pre-sentencing report has been ordered within 30 days, following consideration of electronic house arrest as an alternative.

Sasson is not charged with committing the murder itself. However, the indictment alleges she helped some of those involved after the killing and participated in efforts to impede the investigation. Binyahu Razi was murdered on July 11 in a guest apartment in Jerusalem's Nachlaot neighborhood.

According to separate indictments filed in August, six individuals, including four minors aged 15 to 17, are charged with intentional murder and aggravated assault in Razi's death. One of these minors is Avi'or Sasson, Linor Sasson's son. The indictment claims the group armed themselves with clubs and knives before attacking Razi and his friend at the apartment. Razi sustained fatal stab wounds, while his friend was injured.

Following the murder, actions were allegedly taken to facilitate escape and destroy evidence. The prosecution has indicted seven individuals in total, with six facing murder charges and Linor Sasson facing charges related to aiding and obstructing justice.
