Fatal Collision Near Ibtin Kills One, Injures Woman

A severe car crash near the Arab Israeli town of Ibtin resulted in the death of a young man and injuries to a woman. Emergency services arrived at the scene to find a man in his thirties with critical injuries, who was later pronounced dead. A woman was found trapped in one of the vehicles, suffering from moderate injuries to her abdomen and lower limbs.

Initially reported as a two-vehicle collision, fire and rescue services later confirmed that three vehicles were involved. One car sustained minor damage, another suffered severe damage, and a third vehicle split in half, with a portion falling into a four-meter deep channel. Firefighters descended into the channel to conduct rescue operations.

The trapped woman was extricated by rescue teams and transported by ambulance to Rambam Hospital in Haifa for treatment of her moderate injuries. The deceased man was identified as Majd Noufal Half. The incident was described by a paramedic as "a very serious road accident" due to the complex nature of the damage and the location of one of the vehicles.
