Goni Naor Joins Hapoel Ramat Gan After Leaving Maccabi Haifa
Midfielder Goni Naor has officially transferred to Hapoel Ramat Gan, the club announced. Naor, who was not in the plans for the upcoming season with his former team Maccabi Haifa, will reunite with former coach Masaï Dego. Naor played under Dego in 45 matches at both Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Naor had previously been loaned to Larissa last season. Although he started as a defender in the Toto Cup due to a shortage of players at Maccabi Haifa, he was informed he could seek a new team. His move to Hapoel Ramat Gan is for the 2026/27 season.
Hapoel Ramat Gan is currently at the bottom of the Premier League standings without any points, having lost their first three matches to Hapoel Tel Aviv, Hapoel Be'er Sheva, and Maccabi Haifa. The team also drew 3-3 with Beitar Jerusalem in the Toto Cup playoff.
