Goni Naor Signs With Hapoel Ramat Gan After Leaving Maccabi Haifa
Hapoel Ramat Gan, newly promoted to the Israeli Premier League, has reached an agreement with midfielder Goni Naor. The 27-year-old player, who was not part of Maccabi Haifa's plans, reportedly also held discussions with Ironi Tiberias but ultimately chose to join the "Reds" of Ramat Gan.
Naor spent the latter half of last season on loan at Greek club Larissa. This season, his participation for Maccabi Haifa was limited to a Toto Cup derby match. His move to Hapoel Ramat Gan follows that of teammate Getachew Yablo, who also transferred from Maccabi Haifa to the newly promoted side this summer. Another Maccabi Haifa player, Sharif Kiof, was reportedly close to joining Hapoel Ramat Gan as well, but the transfer was halted due to injury.
