Tens of Thousands Visit Israel's Nature Reserves and National Parks Over Weekend
Approximately 50,000 visitors explored Israel's nature reserves and national parks across the country during the recent Shabbat. The Israel Nature and Parks Authority reported that the most popular sites included the Dor HaBonim Nature Reserve, Tel Ashkelon National Park, Ein Hemed Nature Reserve, and Yarkon National Park (Tel Afek).
In addition to day visitors, around 2,600 people stayed overnight in the Authority's designated camping sites on the eve of the holiday. The most frequented overnight locations were Tel Hai Woods and Achziv Beach.
