Nearly 160,000 Visit Israel's Nature Reserves and National Parks During Holiday
Approximately 160,000 visitors toured Israel's nature reserves and national parks over the three-day holiday period, according to the Israel Nature and Parks Authority. This figure is comparable to the number of visitors during the same holiday last year.
Among the most popular destinations were Caesarea, Achziv Beach, Tal Forest, Maayan Harod, Gan Hashlosha (Sachne), Yarkon National Park (Tel Afek), Tel Ashkelon, Ein Hemed, and the Dor-Habonim coast nature reserve.
The authority also reported that around 4,000 people stayed overnight in its various campsites during the holiday, more than triple the number from the previous year. The leading overnight sites included Achziv Beach, Maayan Harod, Tal Forest, and Khan Be'erot in the Ramon Crater.
