Israel Welcomes First Babies of New Jewish Year

Israel's new Jewish year, תשפ"ז, began with the joyous arrival of the first babies born across the country. Hospitals nationwide celebrated the births, marking the start of the year with new life. For many families, these births also signified the profound experience of becoming parents for the first time.

At Shamir Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, Daniel and Adrian Lardeau welcomed their firstborn son, expressing their excitement. "There is no more moving feeling than starting a new year as a mother and father for the first time," they shared. Daniel, an orthopedic nurse at Kaplan Medical Center, noted his son's timely arrival on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, calling it the "perfect timing."

At Wolfson Medical Center, Lin and Ilai Vaknin also celebrated the birth of their child. Kaplan Medical Center reported the birth of a son to Eden and Daniel Kaspi, with a midwife noting the emotional significance of assisting in a new year's birth after challenging recent years for the nation.

At the Galilee Medical Center (formerly known as the Northern Medical Center), Hodaya Cohen Alalishvili gave birth to a daughter weighing 3,060 grams. Her older daughter, Noam, aged two and a half, eagerly awaits her new sibling at home. The medical team described the birth as a natural, unmedicated delivery and a deeply moving way to commence the new year with hope and joy.
