The first baby born in Israel in the new Hebrew year, 5787 (Tash'fetz), arrived at Ichilov Hospital's Lis Maternity and Women's Hospital in Tel Aviv. The baby boy was born at 6:39 PM, weighing 3.995 kilograms (approximately 8.8 pounds). His parents are Tamar and Assaf. Hospital staff reported that the parents arrived at the delivery room on the day of the birth and welcomed their child into the new year, assisted by midwife Diana Dvash.
