A record-breaking 52,000 pilgrims have gathered in the Ukrainian city of Uman to celebrate the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah. The figure was confirmed by Israeli Police spokesperson Major Mikhail Zingerman, citing the head of the Israeli police delegation in Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Samosha. This influx of visitors places an "extremely high burden" on Uman, a city with a population of approximately 70,000.
