Israeli Man Found Safe After Entering Palestinian Village Voluntarily
Security forces located Yaniv Sardal, a 53-year-old resident of Ariel, unharmed on Thursday after he voluntarily entered a Palestinian village in the Samaria region. Sardal was last seen Wednesday evening near Ariel, and shortly thereafter, reports emerged of his entry into a village, triggering a large-scale emergency response.
Beginning Wednesday night and continuing into Thursday, security forces, including police and the IDF, conducted extensive searches. An inter-agency command post was established to coordinate the search efforts and expedite his location. Special units, including the elite "Matzada" unit of the Prison Service, collaborated with the Shin Bet and police in the operation.
