Israeli Security Forces Search for Missing Man in West Bank

Israeli security forces launched an extensive search operation overnight for Yair Sardal, a 53-year-old resident of Ariel, who reportedly entered a Palestinian village in the West Bank. The operation involves the Israel Police, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the Shin Bet security agency, and the Israel Prison Service, which have established a joint command post. Elite units, including the Prison Service's Matzada unit, and a police helicopter are participating in the search efforts. Sardal was last seen on Wednesday evening in the vicinity of Ariel. A joint statement from the security agencies confirmed that forces began searching "upon receiving a report of a person entering a Palestinian village in the West Bank area of his own volition." Advanced technological and intelligence-gathering capabilities are being employed in the search. Sardal is described as approximately 1.78 meters tall, with black hair, dark brown eyes, and a slim to medium build. He was last seen wearing black shorts, a black shirt, and white flip-flops.
