Israeli Forces Launch Extensive Search for Missing Man in Palestinian Village
Israeli security forces, including the IDF, Shin Bet, police, and prison service, launched a large-scale search operation overnight Wednesday-Thursday for a missing 53-year-old man, Yaniv Sardal, a resident of Ariel. Sardal reportedly entered a Palestinian village in the Samaria region of the West Bank voluntarily on Wednesday evening. He was last seen in the vicinity of Ariel.
An inter-agency command post has been established, utilizing advanced technological capabilities, intelligence gathering efforts, and special units, including the elite Matzada unit of the Prison Service. A police helicopter has also been deployed as part of the operation to locate Sardal safely.
The police have released a description of Sardal, who is approximately 1.78 meters tall, with dark brown eyes and black hair, and a slim to medium build. He was last seen wearing black shorts, a black shirt, and white flip-flops.
