Israeli Man Vanishes After Entering Palestinian Village; Massive Search Underway

An extensive search operation is underway in the Samaria region for Yaniv Sardal, a resident of Ariel, who disappeared after voluntarily entering a nearby Palestinian village on Wednesday evening, September 9. Israeli police and the IDF have been alerted to his disappearance. Sardal, who is around 50 years old, reportedly entered the Palestinian village on his own accord, after which contact with him was lost.

Following the report, army and police units immediately began a thorough search of the area. An inter-agency command post has been established to coordinate the efforts. The operation involves advanced technological equipment, special forces including the elite "Masada" unit of the Israel Prison Service, and a police helicopter.

Police emphasized that the primary objective of the large-scale operation is to locate Sardal quickly and ensure his safety. He was last seen on Wednesday evening near Ariel. Authorities have released a description of the missing man: approximately 1.78 meters tall, with black hair, dark brown eyes, and a slim to medium build. He was last seen wearing black shorts, a black t-shirt, and white flip-flops.
