Defense Minister Israel Katz eulogized Alexander Filin, who was killed by an explosive device in southern Lebanon. Katz said Filin "showed up for reserve duty time after time out of a deep sense of mission," and added, "I embrace his family in this difficult time."
Katz also wished a full and speedy recovery to the fighters wounded in the same incident and expressed support for IDF soldiers and commanders who are continuing operations in Lebanon. He concluded, "May Alexander's memory be blessed."
