Mother of Fallen Soldier Joins Likud Party Ahead of Elections

Taliq Guili, the mother of fallen Border Police officer Reshef Rani Guili, has been placed on the Likud party's list for the upcoming Knesset elections. Rani Guili was killed on October 7 while fighting Hamas terrorists, saving numerous lives before falling in battle. His body, initially taken to Gaza, was returned to Israel as part of Operation "Brave Heart."

The Likud party praised Guili's efforts to memorialize her son and share his story of heroism, describing her and her family as demonstrating "exceptional strength, deep faith, and unwavering determination even in the most difficult moments." The party characterized her as a "symbol of strength, dedication, and commitment to the State of Israel" who transformed her personal tragedy into a public mission.

Guili's inclusion on the list follows the recent placement of reservist fighter Elisha Medan, who lit the "Torch of Healing and Rehabilitation" after being severely wounded in Gaza and losing both his legs. These moves come just hours before the official deadline for submitting party lists to the Knesset at 10:00 PM, with further reserved spots expected to be announced by then.
