Fallen Soldier's Mother Open to Political Run With Ben-Gvir's Party

Talik Guili, the mother of fallen IDF soldier Rani Guili, has addressed reports suggesting she may join the "Otzma Yehudit" party, led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. Guili did not deny the possibility, stating in a recent interview that she feels "courted" and has received numerous offers.

Rani Guili, a Border Police officer, was killed in combat on October 7th and his body was abducted to Gaza. His mother has been actively involved in memorializing her son and strengthening the country.

When asked about potentially receiving a reserved spot on the Otzma Yehudit slate for upcoming elections, Guili responded, "What will be, will be? I don't know." She emphasized her current focus on memorializing her son, giving lectures, and establishing a police preparatory academy. However, she also stressed the importance of a victory for the "national camp" and the right-wing, stating, "The bloc must win, the right must win, we must win our enemies here."

Guili left the door open to a political future, confirming that a final decision about running in the next elections has not yet been made. Reports indicate that Ben-Gvir is considering new additions to his party list as he prepares for the upcoming Knesset elections, with Guili's name among those being considered.
