Netanyahu Received UAE Warning on Sinwar's Planned Attack Before Oct. 7

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received a direct warning from UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed about planned actions by Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar approximately ten days before the October 7th attack, according to a new book by journalists Shlomi Eldar and Ruth Yuval titled "Hostages: 843 Days of Abandonment." The report, published Tuesday in Haaretz, reveals that Netanyahu was alerted to Sinwar's intentions but did not update security officials.

National Unity Party chairman Gadi Eisenkot stated, "More and more signs indicate that Netanyahu led Israel blindly into the October 7th failure. According to this morning's publication, he received an explicit warning days before the massacre from the UAE president regarding Sinwar's intentions, but did not update the heads of the security establishment. Who didn't wake whom?"

Eisenkot further criticized Netanyahu's circle, stating, "Their environment echoes the pathetic conspiracy and betrayal theory, inventing the most ridiculous sentence a leader can cling to, 'I wasn't woken up', because of two facts: 1. He knows the truth. 2. He is terrified of it and trying to escape responsibility. Netanyahu received dozens of warnings for October 7th and ignored them all. He is unfit. As soon as the next government is established, we will establish a state commission of inquiry, it will investigate a decade back, clarify what Netanyahu knew and didn't know, get to the truth, and prevent the next disaster."
