UAE President Warned Netanyahu of Hamas Attack Before Oct. 7, Report Claims

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reportedly warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about an impending major move by Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar approximately ten days before the October 7th attacks. The conversation, which lasted about 45 minutes, included bin Zayed expressing concerns that the planned action would lead to bloodshed, destabilize the region, and harm the Abraham Accords. He urged Netanyahu to take the threat seriously.

According to the report, Netanyahu responded by stating his assessment that Hamas intended to operate in the West Bank and that Israel was prepared for any scenario. Crucially, the report alleges that Netanyahu did not update Israel's security chiefs about this specific warning from the UAE president.

The Prime Minister's Office vehemently denied the report, issuing a statement that called it "an absolute lie." The statement asserted that Prime Minister Netanyahu did not speak with the UAE president during the period in question and received no warning from him.

In a separate development, high-tech entrepreneur Oren Dobronsky announced on Facebook that he would serve as a professional minister for Artificial Intelligence rather than a Member of Knesset. He stated that he preferred to contribute his expertise in a ministerial role and would work with Netanyahu to make Israel an AI superpower. Dobronsky's decision may also circumvent the requirement for Knesset members to relinquish foreign citizenship, as he apparently intends to retain his American passport.
