Israel Braces for Intense Heatwave with Heavy to Extreme Heat Stress
Israel is set to experience a significant increase in temperatures and heat stress starting today, with conditions expected to be hotter than average for this time of year. The day will begin with partly cloudy skies, clearing later to fair weather. A slight rise in temperatures is anticipated, particularly in mountainous and inland areas.
The heat stress will intensify, reaching heavy to extreme levels across most regions of the country. Overnight, skies will be clear to partly cloudy, with fog expected in the northern Negev desert.
Highs today are forecast to reach 32°C in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa. Other cities will see higher temperatures, including 36°C in Katzrin and Be'er Sheva, 37°C in Tiberias and Afula, 41°C in Beit She'an, and 40°C in Eilat. Overnight lows will range from 19°C in Jerusalem to 28°C in Eilat.
