Netanyahu Defies Likud Court Ultimatum on Candidate List
The deadline set by the Likud party's internal court for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to publish his reserved candidate list has passed without compliance. Netanyahu, the party leader, failed to meet the court's demand, despite a warning that the Likud secretariat could hold a secret ballot on the matter. Sources within the party told Ynet that Netanyahu is determined to prevent such a vote. Through Likud legal advisor Ilan Bombach, Netanyahu communicated that he would present the list on Tuesday morning. He believes this will still provide secretariat members with "sufficient time of several hours" to review the candidates.
