Netanyahu to Submit Likud List to Election Committee Tomorrow
Following the expiration of a deadline, Likud party leader Benjamin Netanyahu announced he will submit the party's list of candidates to the Election Committee on Thursday. Netanyahu informed the Likud party court that he would present the list of names to be granted guaranteed spots on the Likud slate before the deadline for submitting lists for the upcoming elections closes. This move comes after the party court's deadline passed. According to Likud sources, Netanyahu does not intend to allow a secret ballot for the candidate names, despite the court's stance. In his response to the Likud court, Netanyahu, through his lawyer Ilan Bombach, argued that the imposed timeline was "unreasonable and disproportionate."
