After the “Blocking” Video, Mordechai David and Eyal Berkowitz Summoned for Questioning
The police today, Wednesday, summoned far-right activist Mordechai David and media figure Eyal Berkowitz for questioning, after a video circulated on social media showing David “blocking” Berkowitz’s car with his body while it was moving.
While David has already been questioned and released under restrictive conditions, Berkowitz is expected to come in for questioning soon. “Suspicion of blocking a vehicle and reckless driving that endangered human life,” the police said.
As noted, David was already questioned by police in February over his actions, including two separate incidents in which he blocked the vehicles of former Supreme Court President Aharon Barak and former Prime Minister Ehud Barak. As reported then in the Kan News broadcast, the investigation created a rift between Police Commissioner Danny Levy and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, after the commissioner addressed the matter and said that a firm hand should be taken in response to the offenses allegedly attributed to Mordechai and his group.
