Right-wing activist detained after blocking Lucy Aharish and Tzachi Halevi outside court

Right-wing activist Mordechai David was detained for questioning on Monday after police said he disrupted public order outside a courthouse and blocked journalist Lucy Aharish and her husband, actor Tzachi Halevi, as they were leaving the building. Police officers at the scene intervened and then decided to hold David for further clarification of the circumstances.

This was the latest in a string of incidents involving David in recent months. In February, he was also detained after coming with other activists to protest outside Aharish and Halevi’s home. That protest escalated into a sharp verbal confrontation between David and Halevi, which was recorded and circulated on social media.

The article also recalls that David was questioned under caution just last week over a widely publicized clash with radio host Eyal Berkowitz. In that incident, David lay on the hood of Berkowitz’s car during an argument, while Berkowitz continued driving for a short distance.
