National Insurance Advances September Payments for Several Benefits
Israel's National Insurance Institute announced on Monday, September 7, 2026, that it will advance the payment dates for several key benefits for the month of September. This decision aims to provide financial relief to recipients earlier than originally scheduled.
The payments for unemployment and income support will be transferred to banks on Tuesday, September 8, instead of the original date of September 14. This move will benefit those relying on these funds for immediate needs.
Child allowances will be disbursed on their usual date, September 20, with no change to the schedule. However, long-term benefits will also see an earlier payout, moved to September 22 from the original September 28 date.
Long-term benefits encompass a wide range of categories, including old-age pensions, survivor benefits, general disability, disabled child allowances, special services, mobility services, work injury compensation, alimony, rehabilitation, nursing care, and "Prisoners of Zion" benefits. The institute's decision to expedite these payments reflects a proactive approach to supporting vulnerable populations.
