National Insurance Institute Announces Payment Dates for Various Benefits

Israel's National Insurance Institute (Bituah Leumi) has announced important payment dates for several key benefits. Eligible recipients of unemployment benefits and income support payments can expect to receive their funds on September 8th. Unemployment benefits are provided to individuals who have lost their jobs and meet specific eligibility criteria, offering financial assistance during their job search. The amount and duration of these benefits depend on factors like the recipient's age, employment history, and previous salary.

Income support is designed for those lacking sufficient income for basic living expenses. Eligibility and payment amounts are determined by the applicant's financial and family situation, income levels, and other National Insurance Institute regulations. In some cases, individuals with incomes below a certain threshold may still qualify.

Further payment schedules include child benefits, which will be disbursed on September 20th. Additionally, long-term benefits, such as survivor benefits, old-age pensions, alimony payments, and work injury benefits, are slated for payment on September 22nd. The institute also noted that the general deadline for reporting and paying insurance contributions is September 15th.
