National Insurance Institute to Distribute September Benefits Starting This Week

The National Insurance Institute (Bituah Leumi) has updated its September payment schedule, with the first disbursements set to be issued on September 8th. This initial wave of payments will include unemployment benefits for individuals who have stopped working and meet eligibility criteria, with the amount and duration calculated based on individual factors like age, work history, and previous salary. Also on September 8th, payments for the minimum living support allowance will be distributed to individuals and families whose income is insufficient to cover essential expenses. Eligibility and the amount of this benefit are determined by financial and family circumstances, income levels, and other established criteria, with some recipients potentially eligible even with earnings below a certain threshold.

Further payments are scheduled for September 20th, when child allowances will be disbursed. The majority of long-term benefits, including payments for the elderly, survivors' benefits, alimony, and compensation for work-related injuries, will be issued on September 22nd.

The National Insurance Institute also reminded the public that the deadline for submitting reports and paying insurance contributions for September is the 15th of the month.
