Channel 13 Denies Wrongdoing in Dispute with Former Anchor Netali Shem Tov

Channel 13 issued a sharp response on Monday to former anchor Netali Shem Tov, who had accused the network of severe harassment, wrongful termination, and other offenses. The network stated that a labor court clarified to Shem Tov that her claims lacked basis and recommended she compromise on only a portion of her employment compensation.

According to Channel 13, Shem Tov herself requested the settlement agreement remain confidential, as her attempts to leverage her dismissal for political gain had yielded nothing. The court reportedly dismissed her claim for 3.5 million shekels, specifically rejecting allegations of harassment and discrimination due to political agenda, as well as claims of wrongful termination, reputational damage, emotional distress, and full contract compensation.

Channel 13 further asserted that Shem Tov's public statement was a breach of the settlement agreement, under which she received less than her contractual dues and less than a fifth of her claimed amount. The network indicated it would notify her of the agreement's cancellation due to her violation.

Shem Tov recently announced her joining the 'Amcha Israel' party, led by Ofer Vinter.
