IDF Strikes Hezbollah Infrastructure and Command Post in Southern Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted airstrikes early Sunday in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah operatives and infrastructure. The Israeli Air Force attacked weapons storage facilities and terrorist structures intended for Hezbollah operatives to plan and direct terror attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. Additionally, the IDF struck a Hezbollah command post established within a former hospital building in southern Lebanon. The strikes were a response to a Hezbollah attempt on Saturday to attack IDF forces operating in the Ali Taher mountain ridge area, during which two explosive-laden drones were launched. No Israeli soldiers were harmed in the drone attack. The IDF stated that precautionary measures were taken to minimize civilian harm, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
The IDF reiterated its commitment to operating in the region and preventing Hezbollah from carrying out terror attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. The military affirmed it would not allow Hezbollah to harm Israeli citizens or its forces and would continue to neutralize threats while adhering to the ceasefire agreement.
