West Bank Settler Indicted for Violating Administrative Order

Hours after his arrest in northern Israel, Tal Yinon Dardik was indicted at the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for violating an administrative order. The police prosecution in the Judea and Samaria district also requested that Dardik be held in custody until the proceedings conclude. According to the indictment, Dardik is accused of violating a legal order by failing to report for required check-ins at the police station in Modi'in Illit. This reporting requirement was part of an administrative order issued against him by the Commander of the Central Region, Maj. Gen. Avi Blout.

The charges do not pertain to illegal entry into the West Bank, but specifically to Dardik's failure to comply with the reporting conditions stipulated in the order. Dardik was apprehended on Tuesday afternoon in northern Israel and was quickly brought before the court. He is represented by attorney Nati Rom from the Honenu organization.
