Court Cancels Home Detention of Israeli Settler Tal Yinon Dradik, Orders Ban from West Bank

The court annulled the home detention order against Tal Yinon Dradik, an Israeli settler accused of abusing Palestinians and other nationalist-motivated offenses. Following the ruling, Central Command Chief Avi Blot modified the restrictions, replacing the specific area ban with a broader prohibition from the entire West Bank region, excluding the city of Modi'in Illit. Dradik must report twice daily to the local police station in Modi'in Illit. The expiration date of the order remains unchanged. Authorities also informed Dradik that if he agrees to wear electronic monitoring, his conditions might be eased.

Last week, Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Channel 14 his intention to remove Avi Blot from his position, but later retracted the decision. Katz stated the dispute arose after Blot appealed to the court against Dradik's release, a move Katz opposed and called "a wrong step."
