Poll Shows Tight Race Between Blocs Ahead of Party List Deadline
With the deadline for submitting party lists looming, a new poll published Thursday by Israel Hayom indicates a close race between the two main political blocs. The bloc opposing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu currently stands at 55 Knesset seats, while Netanyahu's bloc holds 53 seats. Arab parties collectively command 12 seats.
The poll shows the "Yes!" party leading with 24 mandates, followed by the Likud with 21. The "Together" list, comprising Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid, receives 13 seats. Both the Democrats and Yisrael Beiteinu are projected to win 9 seats each. United Torah Judaism is at 8 seats, while Shas and Otzma Yehudit each secure 7 seats. The Joint List also garners 7 seats. Religious Zionism is projected to receive 6 seats, Ra'am 5, and Am Echad Israel 4.
Overall, the 120 Knesset seats are divided with 53 for Netanyahu's bloc, 55 for the opposition bloc, and 12 for the Arab parties, according to the poll's graphic representation.
