Poll Shows Israeli Coalition and Opposition Tied in Knesset Seat Projections

A Channel 13 poll released Wednesday, September 2, indicates a significant shift in Israeli public opinion, with the coalition and opposition blocs now projected to hold an equal number of Knesset seats. The survey suggests that if elections were held today, the opposition bloc would secure 53 seats, matching the 53 seats projected for the current governing coalition.

The poll shows the "Yahad" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, leading the Likud party by a single seat, with "Yahad" receiving 22 mandates and Likud 21. The "B'Yachad" bloc follows in third place with 12 seats. Other parties' projected seat allocations include "Democratim" with 11, the joint list of Arab parties with 9, "Yisrael Beiteinu" with 8, "Yahadut HaTorah" with 8, Shas with 7, "Otzma Yehudit" with 7, "Tzionut Datit-Zeut" with 6, Ra'am with 5, and "Amcha Israel" with 4.

When asked about preferred prime minister, 47% of respondents favored "Yahad" leader Gadi Eisenkot, while 37% supported the incumbent Prime Minister Netanyahu. The poll was conducted by Channel 13 and its results reflect a potential realignment of political power in Israel.
