New Poll Shows Tight Race, Potential Center-Right Shakeup

A new poll conducted by the Maagar Mochot institute for Channel 16 reveals a highly contested political landscape in Israel, with potential for significant shifts if parties on the center-right unite. Currently, the bloc supporting Prime Minister Netanyahu holds 54 seats, while the opposition bloc has 55 seats, with Arab parties securing 11 seats.

The "Yashar" party leads the polls with 20 seats, closely followed by the Likud party with 19. The "Be'aderech" party shows considerable strength with 18 seats, and "HaDemokratim" garners 10 seats. Otzma Yehudit and Shas each receive 9 seats.

Other parties include Yahadut HaTorah, Yisrael Beiteinu, and the Joint List, each with 7 seats. Religious Zionism-Identity and "Amcha Yisrael" each secure 5 seats, while Ra'am finishes with 4 seats. Parties failing to pass the electoral threshold include HaBayit HaZioni (3%), HaMiflaga HaKalkalit (2.7%), HaAchdut (1.4%), Blue and White (1%), and HaTzibur HaHaredi (1%).

The survey also examined a hypothetical scenario where four parties currently below the threshold-Blue and White, HaBayit HaZioni, HaAchdut, and HaMiflaga HaKalkalit-form a joint list. In this situation, the unified list would surge to 9 seats, significantly altering the current seat distribution and potentially impacting the overall balance of power.
