Singer Yehuda Poliker Performs With Oxygen Machine After Revealing Lung Disease

Israeli singer Yehuda Poliker performed on stage Wednesday at the Heichal HaTarbut using an oxygen machine. The appearance comes a month after Poliker revealed in an interview with Channel 12 News that he suffers from pulmonary fibrosis and breathing difficulties.

Poliker explained his decision to share his diagnosis, stating, "In everything I've done in life, I've always shared with everyone. It's important to me that the audience knows what I'm going through. Now I have breathing difficulties. Let them know, another coming out of the closet." He described pulmonary fibrosis as a difficult and dangerous disease that causes gradual scarring of the lungs, leaving the patient without air. While there is no cure, the condition can be managed with medication.

Despite his health challenges, Poliker, described as a true artist, is finding creative ways to cope. He was quoted saying, "It's fun for me here. Here I sit, everything is tasty, and I paint," during a meeting at a Tel Aviv cafe.
