Singer Yehuda Poliker Performs Onstage With Oxygen Machine After Revealing Lung Illness

Israeli singer Yehuda Poliker performed on Wednesday evening at the Heichal HaTarbut venue, utilizing an oxygen machine onstage. This appearance follows his revelation last month in an interview with Channel 12 News that he suffers from pulmonary fibrosis and breathing difficulties.

Poliker explained his decision to share his diagnosis, stating, "In everything I've done in life, I've always shared with everyone. It's important to me that the audience knows what I'm going through. Now I'm having breathing difficulties. Let them know, another coming out of the closet." He described pulmonary fibrosis as a serious and dangerous disease that causes gradual scarring of the lungs, leading to a lack of air. While there is no cure, the condition can be managed with medication.

Despite his health challenges, Poliker continues to engage with his art. He was quoted saying, "It's fun for me here. Here I sit, everything is tasty, and I paint," during a meeting at a Tel Aviv cafe.
