Singer Yehuda Poliker Performs While Connected to Oxygen

Israeli singer Yehuda Poliker performed on stage Wednesday evening at the Heichal HaTarbut venue, connected to an oxygen tank. Poliker was diagnosed over a year ago with pulmonary fibrosis, a condition causing lung scarring that makes breathing and walking difficult.

Poliker recently shared that while he doesn't feel the effects when resting, walking even ten steps becomes challenging. He uses oxygen at night and takes medication to slow the disease's progression. Despite his breathing difficulties, Poliker continues to perform, stating that the stage allows him to forget his condition.

A representative for Poliker stated that since revealing his illness, he feels he has nothing to hide from his audience, viewing the oxygen as an essential part of his performance, akin to his guitar amplifier. The statement emphasized Poliker's determination to overcome each performance and his desire to raise awareness for pulmonary fibrosis and support other patients.
