Singer Yehuda Poliker Performs Onstage With Oxygen Machine
Israeli singer Yehuda Poliker performed at the Tel Aviv Culture Hall on Wednesday evening, utilizing an oxygen machine onstage. This appearance comes nearly three weeks after Poliker revealed in an interview with Channel 12 that he is battling a lung disease causing him breathing difficulties.
Poliker disclosed in the interview that he suffers from pulmonary fibrosis, a condition that makes walking and breathing challenging. However, he expressed that performing on stage allows him to overcome these difficulties, stating, "When I get on stage, I forget about everything." He added that music gives him the strength to continue performing despite his condition.
Despite contemplating retirement due to his health, Poliker emphasized the stage's integral role in his life and his unwillingness to give it up. "Without singing, without playing, and without standing on stage in front of an audience... I won't be the same anymore," he stated.
