Maccabi Tel Aviv Interested in Colombian Winger Camilo Mena
Israeli football club Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly interested in signing Colombian winger Camilo Mena, 23, who currently plays for Polish club Lechia Gdańsk. Mena has also attracted interest from Scottish club Rangers and French club Saint-Étienne.
Lechia Gdańsk is demanding a transfer fee of 8 million euros for Mena, a sum that would shatter the current Israeli transfer record. The record was previously set by Maccabi Tel Aviv when they purchased Icelandic striker Viðar Kjartansson for 3.5 million euros.
Mena joined Lechia Gdańsk from Latvian club Valmiera for 1.6 million euros. His current market value is estimated at 4 million euros by Transfermarkt. Last season, Mena scored 5 goals and provided 10 assists in the league. He has also previously been included in the Colombian U-21 national team squad.
