Maccabi Tel Aviv Interested in Colombian Winger Camilo Mena
Israeli football club Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly interested in signing Colombian winger Camilo Mena, 23, who currently plays for Polish club Lechia Gdańsk. Mena has also attracted interest from Scottish club Rangers and French club Saint-Étienne.
Lechia Gdańsk is demanding a transfer fee of 8 million euros for Mena, a sum that would shatter the existing Israeli transfer record. The current record stands at 3.5 million euros, paid by Maccabi Tel Aviv to acquire Icelandic striker Viðar Kjartansson.
Mena was previously purchased by Lechia Gdańsk from Latvian club Valmiera for 1.6 million euros. His current market value is estimated at 4 million euros by Transfermarkt.
Last season, Mena scored 5 goals and provided 10 assists in the league. He has also been included in the Colombian under-21 national team squad in the past.
