Health Ministry Investigates Suspected Ebola Case in Traveler from Congo
Israel's Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that an individual who recently returned from the Democratic Republic of Congo is suspected of having contracted Ebola. The person, who arrived back in Israel several days ago, sought medical attention after developing a fever and other symptoms consistent with the virus.
Currently, the case is considered a suspicion only, and the necessary laboratory tests are underway, with results expected in the coming days. In line with established protocols, the Ministry of Health is conducting an epidemiological investigation to identify individuals who may have come into contact with the suspected patient.
The ministry clarified that anyone not contacted by health officials does not need to take any action at this stage.
