Israeli Police Seek Arrests in Organized Attack on Palestinian Village

Israeli police have issued arrest warrants for organizers of a violent raid on the Palestinian village of Qusra, where over 70 individuals allegedly participated in the attack. Security forces believe the incident was a pre-planned operation involving recruitment, funding, and potential future legal assistance for those involved. Some of the suspected organizers are reportedly in hiding or on the run, with assistance from local residents.

The investigation, a joint effort between the Shin Bet and the police, has identified several organizers and compiled a list of participants. Police are also collecting testimonies from soldiers who were present during the incident and have summoned owners of vehicles suspected of being used by the rioters for questioning. The vehicles themselves have been confiscated.

During the raid, which occurred the previous day, the Israeli individuals reportedly threw stones at Palestinians and occupied a home with residents inside. Several Palestinians were injured, including a woman who required medical attention. Footage showed many of the attackers dressed in black, masked, and armed with clubs.

Security officials described the event as a well-organized assault, estimating that more than 70 rioters were involved. The initial response force consisted of only six reservist soldiers, who focused on separating the parties rather than attempting arrests amidst the chaos. Border Police forces later arrived, and the rioters dispersed after riot control measures were employed. No arrests were made at the scene.

In response to the incident and similar nationalist crime, the IDF is working to improve coordination between the military, Shin Bet, and police to better manage and address such phenomena, following a warning from the Chief of Staff to the cabinet.
